Treatment is based on severity and site. Limited psoriasis may be managed with topical medicines and moisturising. Extensive, nail, scalp or palm/sole disease may need oral medicines, with referral where phototherapy is appropriate. Long-term safety and follow-up matter more than quick clearing.
Extent, thickness, symptoms and special sites are checked.
Morning stiffness, swollen fingers or joint pain should be mentioned.
Treatment is matched to severity and medical history.
Psoriasis often needs maintenance and flare planning rather than repeated emergency treatment.
