Fungal infection is very common in Jaipur because heat, sweating, tight clothing and shared towels help it spread. Many patients arrive after using steroid-mixed creams that reduce redness for a few days but allow the infection to spread and return.

Treatment depends on extent and recurrence. Small patches may settle with correct antifungal cream. Widespread, recurrent or steroid-modified infection may need oral antifungal medicine, hygiene changes and treatment of close contacts when appropriate. Steroid-mixed creams are avoided unless specifically prescribed for another diagnosis.
The border, scale, body site and previous cream use are checked carefully.
Dose and duration matter. Stopping as soon as itching reduces is a common reason for relapse.
Sweat control, loose clothing, towel hygiene and checking family spread may be discussed.
If it keeps coming back, diagnosis and risk factors are rechecked rather than simply repeating creams.
